The Palestinian Issue (Days 8-10)
Sadat also wanted to negotiate for a Palestinian state on the West Bank and Gaza.

Two days later, "on 4:14 on the morning of the tenth day, Carter called Brzezinski [National Security Advisor] and said he was worried about Sadat's security. He was afraid that word of the concessions Sadat had made would leak out and prompt Palestinian terrorists to assassinate him. Carter ordered security around Sadat's lodge strengthened."
